The latest version of Encountra provides addtional support for social network integration. Your content can be submitted to bookmarking sites, such as del.icio.us, Facebook, Twitter and you can also provide links to allow your visitors to follow or subscribe to those same services.

 

The Encountra console provides an area where you can define the sites which you wish to integrate to. When articles are flagged for integration they will display a set of links or buttons which can be clicked to have the content submittied to those networking sites.

 

Many of the social network sites now provide snippets or applets which can be imbedded in your site to provide information from the social networking sites. This may include displaying the last few posts from a Twitter account, or your status in Facebook. It can also include enbedding such functionality as google syndicated advertisements, google search and google maps. In many cases these can be added to your site simply by pasting the provided html into your content editor.
